The Holomondas Optical Ground Station project is a collaborative effort between the European Space Agency (ESA), the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the Libre Space Foundation, pushing the boundaries of space communication.

Funded by ESA, this initiative aims to establish a reliable optical link with LEO satellites, paving the way for high-bandwidth data transfer and exploration of quantum communication.

By combining the expertise of these organizations, cutting-edge technology, and open-source principles, Holomondas is poised to significantly advance space exploration, scientific research, and global connectivity.

The project is divided into HolOGS 1 and HolOGS 2 initiatives.
